Description

Americans vote at much lower rates than most developed countries, and one of the most common reasons given is that people don't believe their vote really matters. This documentary series will aim to convey that voting matters a lot!  The series will explore why so many Americans may feel that their vote doesn't matter. All kinds of systems unique to the United States keep voters from the polls, tip elections in favor of moneyed interests, and give some votes a lot more power than others.  This is an opportunity to see where we are and how we got there.

Students that will be using this event as a GE approved T2K service event must participate throughout the full extent of the program.  Partial credit will not be approved for partial participation.

All students will be encouraged to register to vote after the documentary viewing and support others registering to vote. Anyone who would like to register to vote can do so now by visiting HERE.

Students who RSVP for this project will be sent the Netflix Party URL and the Google Hangouts Meet Invitation via email before the day of the screening
